English For its sixth edition, Customisez Moi is launching its talent search aimed at anyone with an overflowing sense of creativity.
The winner will be granted a visibility during Modo Brussels actions program and a lookbook offer by MAD. Following an online pre-selection based on 10 customised pieces, the creations of self-taught designers as well as fashion design students will be showcased on a runway in November, in front of a jury of industry professionals and insiders: Didier Vervaeren (MODO), Julie Huon (Le Soir), Cafe Costume, Hunting and Collecting, OWN, Béa Ercolini (Elle Belgique), Nica Broucke (Elle Belgïe), Anne-Francoise Moyson (Le Vif).
This single catwalk will display a large pool of fresh new talent, sewing enthusiasts, fashion lovers and creative spirits. It is the perfect occasion for gifted and crafty emerging designers to showcase their talent, within this concept-competition developed by Bernard Gavilan. "I often meet talented people in my thrift stores. They may not have studied fashion design but are bursting with ideas and are capable of creating inspiring outfits. That observation was the starting point of Customisez Moi. Why not encourage their talent and give them a chance with this competition? The streets are packed with bright minds, let's allow this inventive streak to express itself."

You have until the 30th of September to register on the website "http://www.customisezmoi.com/", follow the different steps motivate your parttacking in the contest and upload 10 pictures of your custumised designs !

De winnaar zal aan een aantal acties van Modo Brussels kunnen deelnemen en de creatie van een eigen lookbook aangeboden door MAD. "In mijn vintagewinkels kom ik dikwijls mensen tegen die overborrelen van goeie ideeën om een inspirerend silhouet te creëren maar niet noodzakelijk een modeopleiding gevolgd hebben. Het is die vaststelling die tot het ontstaan van Customisez Moi geleid heeft. Waarom geen wedstrijd organiseren, waarom ze niet stimuleren? Er loopt veel talent rond, dat zich hier kan uitleven.

En novembre, après une présélection on-line sur base de 10 pièces de customisation, les créations des autodidactes et des élèves des écoles de stylisme sélectionnés se croiseront sur un même catwalk face à un jury de professionnels au jugement aussi éclairé qu'une vitrine bien exposée : Didier Vervaeren (MODO), Julie Huon (Le Soir), Cafe Costume, Hunting and Collecting, OWN, Béa Ercolini (Elle Belgique), Nica Broucke (Elle Belgïe), Anne-Francoise Moyson (Le Vif).
Sur un seul catwalk défile le plus grand vivier de talents émergeants, de passionnés de couture, de mode et de création. Les créateurs en devenir, brillants et inventifs, trouvent l'occasion de mettre en avant leur talent, réunis autour du concours-concept développé par Bernard Gavilan. "Dans mes boutiques de fripes, je croise des gens plein d'idées qui n'ont pas forcément fait une école de mode mais qui sont capables de créer des silhouettes inspirantes. C'est ce constat qui est à l'initiative de Customisez Moi. Pourquoi ne pas leur proposer un concours, pourquoi ne pas les encourager ? La rue est peuplée de gens brillants, laissons cette inventivité s'exprimer.
